We’ve always tried to set ourselves apart from other car dealerships.

We host a giant toy drive every Christmas.

We gave away some cars during our Grand Re-Opening.

And last month we shared with you our quest to spread happiness throughout our community by performing #RandomActsOfKindness.

The feedback we received from something as simple as hot chocolate was so positive, that we’ve decided to try something new with our advertising budget. Each month, we are going to be spending a substantial percentage of our marketing budget doing nice things for random people in our community.

We can continue to be like every other car dealership out there by throwing a bunch of money at Google to get you to click on a link guiding you to our inventory. We can stand on TV commercials and shout about this month’s lease specials… Or? We can spend that same amount of money giving back to all of you, and we are going to experiment with this for one year. Does being kind bring in more people? We think it will.

We can be the change this industry needs.

Last week we decided to spread Valentine’s Day love throughout the community. If we caught you walking around with your lover, YOU GOT A DATE NIGHT ON US!

People are stunned when you give them something for nothing.

Well, get ready Northwest Ohio. A lot of you are about to start getting hit with a bunch of #RandomActsOfKindness, courtesy of Thayer Chevy, for the next year!

We have some ideas for more #RandomActsOfKindness. We are going to pay for cab rides on St. Patrick’s Day. We will have an Easter Bunny passing out money. We even want to take over a drive-thru one day and buy everyone lunch.

We’d love to hear your feedback, though. What do you think would be fun to see? If you can dream it, we might be able to do it! Let’s change the way we market to people one #RandomActOfKindess at a time!
