#RandomActsOfKindness – Thayer Style

Our Thayer Chevy team has been spreading a little warmth throughout the community over the past couple of days.

We understand what it means to be working out in the cold weather and removing snow. After all, we just dug our entire inventory out of one giant snow drift.

As we shoveled snow and broomed the cars in the bitter cold, a thought occurred to us.

Wouldn’t it be awesome if someone pulled up in a hot chocolate truck? You know, like an ice cream truck… only the opposite.

With that thought in mind, we decided to become the community hot chocolate truck, and the community loved it!

We were surprised by the reactions to our random acts of hot chocolate kindness. We were asked repeatedly why we would do this…. We did this because it’s nice.

But the biggest surprise we had was in ourselves. Being kind to people, for no real reason, just feels really good. We can’t wait to do this again!

We just wanted to take an opportunity to show our appreciation for the community members that have been braving the elements to dig our cars out of the drifts, deliver our mail, keep our streets safe, etc. Everyone has been so helpful during these times, and that was our ‘Thank you’.

I’ve been doing this for my new years resolution. At least one daily act of kindness. It feels amazing.

There is something so fullfilling about putting a smile on someone’s face. Its not hard to do and yet…we do it so infrequently.
Your staff could have played pictionary while waiting for the snow to melt and customers to drift back in, but not you. I am not surprised one little bit
