Christmas Dreams 2013

Each year the Thayer Family Dealerships host a local toy drive for Wood County children in need. Our community pulls together to help children have a Christmas, and keep the Christmas spirit alive, even in the most dire of financial situations.

The Thayer Family Dealerships Christmas Dreams Program helps over 200 children each year, with the need growing year after year.

There are several ways you can help a child in need.

Thayer Chevrolet is filling a Silverado with toys!

Drop off any unwrapped toy at our Chevy store, and we will take care of the rest. We have children of all ages, so whatever you can think of will get used. If you are looking for some suggestions, board games are always a good idea, as well as movies, dolls, Matchbox cars, and Legos. Toys like these go far when fulfilling the wish lists of the children.

Adopt a child or buy raffle tickets at Thayer Ford!

Barb Tansel has been a behind-the-scenes angel for these families since 1992. Barb organizes all of the toys we collect, keeps track of the funds we raise, and goes shopping to find the children anything we weren’t able to collect.

You can adopt children and buy them the toys on their wish list. Barb will be happy to help you pick a family or a child in need.

Thayer Ford employees also selling raffle tickets. The tickets are a mere $5, and 100% of the proceeds go to the Christmas Dreams Program to buy the children gifts. Local businesses have come together in a big way this year.
